The European Organisation for Technical Assessment (EOTA – www.eota.eu) is a non-profit organisation, bringing together Europe's Technical Assessment Bodies. EOTA was founded in 1990 to help realise the common European market for construction products. EOTA's special expertise is innovative and non standard construction products. Through its services, EOTA helps product manufacturers bring their cutting-edge products to the European market, using CE marking as an entry ticket.
Under the Construction Products Directive (CPD - 89/106/EEC) EOTA had developed European Technical Approvals Guidelines (ETAGs) which need to be developed in EADs in the sense of the Regulation (EU) No 305/2011. Basis for the planning is an agreement with the European Commission which can be consulted on the website of the European Commission and in the actualized timetable .
Interested stakeholders are invited to participate in the development!
EOTA started the revision in 2014. Some of the EADs converting ETAGs are already published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). The following twenty ETAGs still need to be revised: ETAG 005, 006, 007, 009, 010, 011, 016, 017, 019, 021, 022, 023, 024, 025, 028, 030 (part 2 and 3), 031, 032, 033, 035.
EOTA has launched a call for the establishment of the respective working groups (“newETAG WG”) by end of this year. The call is open until end of September 2017.
More information about the working groups (“newETAG WG”) can be found on our website under EAD Development -> How to get involved? or via the following link: Technical Working Groups - EOTA
