Since 25 May 2018 the new General Data Protection Declaration (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) is in force. The GDPR contains privacy rules to better secure personal data in all European Member States. As an international organization and body pursuing an aim of general European interest, EOTA has established already strict confidentiality rules in its Internal Regulations detailing the principle of commercial secrecy and confidentiality for the development and adoption of European Assessment Documents.
Furthermore, EOTA continues to apply the European principles on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data such as transparency, purpose limitation, data minimisation, accuracy, storage limitation and integrity and confidentiality.
Personal data (i.e. name and contact at work) are solely processed in EOTA in the exercise of those activities which fall within the scope of the Construction Products Regulation (EU) No 305/2011, notably the EAD development.
EOTA took the GDPR as an opportunity to review its Data Protection Policy and amended its Terms and Conditions for the use of its information tools.
