EOTA: a competent partner for the construction sector
ETA: a reliable way to CE-marking

back to latest news »

For the third time since the implementation of the Construction Products Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 (CPR), EOTA met all stakeholders and the European Commission together at the EOTA Stakeholder Advisory Group Conference on 10th November 2016 in Brussels.

EOTA plays an important role for construction products not covered by harmonised standards, especially for innovative construction products. The EOTA route is a voluntary and tailor-made route to CE-marking. The results stated in the ETA represent an internationally accepted technical assessment for construction products. The ETA is a valuable tool for small and big manufacturers. The ETA is important for professional users and surveillance. The ETA route streamlines the internal market and supports safety of construction works.

EOTA strategies were discussed, and needs of manufacturers were taken on board to further develop this route as well as a consistent and useful interpretation of the Construction Products Regulation.
